In the world of marketing and advertising, Mark Momberg stands out as a seasoned professional whose career has been marked by creativity, versatility, and a commitment to making a meaningful impact. Born and raised in the vibrant city of Port Elizabeth in 1973, Mark's journey from a young law student to the Senior Campaign and Engagement Manager at Rooftop Productions is a testament to his unwavering passion for graphic design and his dedication to aligning his work with purpose-driven initiatives.
Mark's academic journey took an unexpected turn when he realized that law wasn't his true calling. He transitioned to the Port Elizabeth Technikon, where he completed a National Diploma in Graphic Design in 2000. This pivotal decision laid the foundation for his future in marketing and advertising, setting the stage for an illustrious career that would see him leaving an indelible mark on the industry.
 
Upon completing his diploma, Mark and his then-girlfriend, now wife, embarked on a bold journey to Johannesburg, the advertising mecca of South Africa. Starting as a Graphic Designer at Sainsbury Design, a below-the-line agency in Rivonia, Mark's talent quickly gained recognition, prompting him to further hone his skills at the Vega School of Branding, where he studied Copywriting and Art Direction.
 
His career trajectory saw him transitioning into the dynamic world of cosmetics as a Copywriter for Avon Justine. Immersed in the vibrant cosmetic industry, Mark honed his ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. This experience would later prove invaluable as he ventured back to Port Elizabeth, working with Dumisa Design and Advertising before joining Boomtown Strategic Brand Agency in 2011.
 
Mark's contributions to Boomtown were substantial, spanning two distinct periods from 2011 to 2015 and again from 2019 to 2023. During the interim years, he delved into soft skills training and lectured at Nelson Mandela University, sharing his wealth of knowledge in design and communications with the next generation of creatives.
In 2015, Mark initiated discussions with Richard Ahlfeldt, Co-CEO of Rooftop Productions, recognizing the potential to channel his skills toward projects with a profound social impact. Drawn by Rooftop's commitment to humanitarian causes and partnerships with organizations like the United Nations, The World Health Organization, and UNESCO, Mark saw an opportunity to contribute to the betterment of the human race.
 
Since joining Rooftop Productions, Mark has assumed the role of Senior Campaign and Engagement Manager, overseeing projects that extend beyond traditional brand promotion. His dedication to creating campaigns that resonate with purpose reflects a deep-seated belief in the power of media to drive positive change. With a focus on collaborating with organizations that make a difference, Mark is poised to continue his journey of impact and creativity at Rooftop Productions.
